#1 Office Lens

By: Microsoft Corporation

Price: Free

In-App Purchases: No

Windows Store Rating: 4.7 Stars

Our Rating: 4.5 Stars

I frequently use Office Lens. It’s a Microsoft-developed solution for your digitization needs. Using the app and your smartphone’s camera, you can capture receipts, whiteboards, business cards, and other documents in a speedy and readable manner. Images are saved to OneNote and can also be converted to Word or PowerPoint files. The company’s main idea is to deliver an app that is designed for digitalizing print documents, receipts and more accessible memos.

  • With Whiteboard mode.
  • Office Lens trims and cleans up glare and shadows.
  • With Document mode, Office Lens trims and colors images perfectly.
  • Pictures are saved to your camera roll and also directly into OneNote, so you can see the images across all your devices.
  • Choose to convert images to PDF (.pdf), Word (.docx), or PowerPoint (.pptx) files that are automatically saved to OneDrive.

#2 myTube

By: Ryken Studio

Price: $0.99 / Trail Version is Free

In-App Purchases: No

Windows Store Rating: 4.4 Stars

Our Rating: 5 Stars

MyTube is probably the best YouTube app on Windows 10 Mobile till date. You can easily manage your YouTube channel from myTube. It gives access not only to subscribed channels but also bookmarked playlists. Video player is very nice as supports slider. It Supports audio player and background player too. It’s a highly recommended app. Sadly, the trial version limits you to watching 1 hour of video in every 3 hours, then you will have to wait 10 minutes to continue watching. This may change in the future.

An official YouTube app is still not available. Google is simply ignoring Windows Fans.

  • Continue watching your current video while you browse the app
  • Listen to music videos in the background while you use other apps
  • Support for up to 2160p playback and 60 FPS videos
  • Download videos and audio to watch or listen to later
  • Create and manage playlists on your channel
  • View and play playlists even when offline
  • Post comments, and reply to comments from others
  • Receive notifications when your favorite channels upload new videos
  • Upload videos to YouTube
  • Cast videos to the big screen with DLNA

#3 DMD Panorama

By: Dermandar

Price: Free

In-App Purchases: No

Windows Store Rating: 3.1 Stars

Our Rating: 3.5 Stars

The Windows Store is facing Panorama app crisis, there’s not even a single good Panorama app out there. Even Microsoft stopped supporting its Lumia Panorama. Well, DMD Panorama is the only Panorama app on Windows platform with some good features. It’s easy to use and its fun interface will change the way you take photos. Still it lacks in some of the features like 360° capture. Bonus! You can also try TurnMe Panorama. It does not capture Panorama, instead it a Panorama Image Viewer. This app uses the compass, accelerometer and gyroscope to bring you inside the picture. It also integrates directly into the photo hub.

  • Panoramic Camera with a 3D Viewer in a Snap.
  • Fully automated capture system
  • Blazing fast stitching.
  • On-device local gallery – Web gallery to enjoy public panoramas.
