Blackberry DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 arrived in India

Blackberry’s latest Android-powered smartphones DTEK50 and DTEK60 announced in India. The mid-range on DTEK50 will be available to buy from this weekend for Rs 21,990 and the flagship DTEK60 should arrive by early December for Rs 46,990 price tag. Let’s dive into specs.

Announced back in July, the DTEK50 is a rebranded Alcatel Idol 4S. It boasts 5.2-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 617 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB ROM with expandable memory, 13MP/8MP camera combo, 2610 mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 and Blackberry Launcher flavored Android Marshmallow out of box.

The DTEK60 carries more of flagship level specs and price. It offers 5.5-inch QHD display, 2.1GHz Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage with the micro-SD expansion slot, 3000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 tech, 21MP/8MP camera shooter, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and security features flavored Android Marshmallow out of box.

Compared to some Chinese OEMs, Blackberry’s offerings do sound lame on paper. But the Canadian company seems to target security-minded small consumer group who put security at the highest priority. So, are you buying one? Sound in comments.
