Galaxy S7 to handle Note 7’s responsibility to drive sales during Diwali season in India.
India was one of few markets Galaxy Note 7 never got announced. In Diwali festival, it was always Galaxy Note’s responsibility to drive sales for the tech company. But as we know, same can’t be said for this year. But Samsung thinks that Note 7 fiasco won’t affect its sales in the country and Galaxy S7/S7 Edge will instead drive the sales.
Samsung already announced some generous offers on Galaxy S7 for those who pre-ordered Note 7 in India. Manu Sharma, vice president of the mobile business at Samsung India added, “We have converted the Note pre-booked customers in India to S7 and S7 Edge. We are humbled by the loyalty of the consumers towards the brand. There is now a strong sales momentum on S7 and S7 Edge. BY virtue of being a full-range player with 25 models across segments, we are confident to grow our share and sales this quarter.”
Samsung expects to see record sales this year and estimate suggest that Galaxy S7/S7 Edge sales have doubled since the new of Note 7’s discontinuous. The billboards around the country are back with featuring both flagships and the company is pushing it more than ever.
