Gionee launches S10 with 4 cameras and 6GB of RAM

Dual-cameras have made their way to most company flagships. Some of them have it on the back and some on the front but Gionee wants to be the first phone to have dual-cameras both on the front and back. Yes! You heard it right, 4 cameras on a phone.

Gionee, in China, just announced their S10 which will be launched in 3 variants – the regular S10, S10B & S10C.

The successor to the Gionee S9 will feature a 16MP and an 8MP sensor on the back, one of which has an f/1.8 aperture which will help it achieve better low light photography. At the front, it comes with a 20MP sensor along with an 8MP sensor.      The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM and a 3,450 mAh battery. It sports a 5.5-inch FullHD display and is priced at CNY 2,599 (Rs 24,000 approx).

S10 B

The S10 B features a dual camera setup only on the back with a 13MP/5MP arrangement with a single 16MP snapper on the front. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It has a battery capacity of 3,700 mAh and comes with 64GB built in storage. This variant also features a 5.5 inch FullHD display and is priced at CNY 2,199 (Rs 21,000 approx).

S10 C

Lastly, the S10 C which is priced at CNY 1,599 (Rs 15,000 approx) which is the most affordable makes a bit more sacrifices.  It only has a 13MP camera on the back with a 16MP sensor on the front. Instead of using MediaTek, the phone uses a Snapdragon 427 which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and has a battery rating of 3,100 mAh.

All the 3 phones will run on Gionee’s Amigo 4.0 OS which is based on Android Nougat 7, have a fingerprint scanner on the front and have hybrid slots which will allow either an extra sim or a microSD card.

As of now it looks like that the phones will only be available only in China, with the S10C going on sale from today while the S10 and the S10B will be available from June 9.
