Meet Google Clips: A tiny camera that clicks your pictures!
Hey mate! Can you click a picture of me? No? Okay.....
At a fairly busy day at Google with tons of hardware launches, here’s something that no one saw coming: Google Clips. Clips grabs Motion pictures (like Live Photos on iPhones) with some action around.
It is supposed to be used passively, and it smartly understands what to click, and where. You can just attach it to places and let it do its magic. Something to keep in mind is that it doesn’t capture audio. It records video at 15FPS. It smartly understands whom to shoot, based on what it sees
The only specifications we know are that it’s going to have a very wide 130-degree field of View, and has an f/2.4 lens. It has 16GB of onboard storage and also offers up to three hours of passive smart capturing per charge, which can be charged over USB type-C. There’s a Gorilla Glass 3 covering for extra protection and connects via Bluetooth LE.
It will retail at $249, and details on availability should be mentioned soon….
