Google Pixel pricing starts from ₹57,000 in India, up for pre-order on Oct 13
Google just launched their best and latest offering under new smartphone category name, Pixel. Both Pixel and Pixel XL packs powerful hardware and latest software offerings from the search giant. The devices are already available for pre-order in the US and the company also shed some info on Indian pricing and availability.
Both Pixel and Pixel XL will be available to pre-order starting from October 13 on online exclusive partner as Flipkart (Same as last year with Nexus 6P and 5X), Croma and Reliance Digital. Pixel users will have toll-free phone support number & 54 walk-in service centres across 30+ cities in India. But, here is the bummer. The pricing starts from ₹57,000 and that too for smaller Pixel with only 32GB of storage. The 128GB variant will cost ₹66,000. The bigger Pixel with 32GB storage gets the price tag of ₹67,000 while the 128GB one will set you back by ₹76,000.
This price tag put Pixel in direct competition with the likes of Galaxy Note 7 and iPhone 7. What do you think about it? Did Google just mess up with pricing? Can Pixel convey loyal iPhone or Galaxy user?Sound off in comments?
