Google Pixel starts receiving Android Nougat 7.1.1 worldwide

One of the advantages of owning the Google phone is about getting timely updates. When most of the flagships from OEMs are still on year old Marshmallow, Pixel and Nexus phones are already receiving Android Nougat 7.1.1 update.

Weighing at 263.6MB, the update includes critical bug fixes, performance improvements and new features.

For starters, the update includes December security patch and adds VoLTE support in India. Besides, it adds gender counterparts for emoji characters that previously only had male or female representation, support for GIF images directly from keyboard and more.
