HTC U 11 goes official – Snapdragon 835, Edge Sense gestures, IP-67 and more on board
After month of rumors and speculations, HTC’s response to Samsung and LG is finally here. Meet htc U 11, another member in U series after U Ultra and U Play. But this time, the Taiwan manufacture isn’t shying away from adding latest and greatest of tech available in market.
The U 11 packs a 5.5-inch QHD display covered by Gorilla Glass 5, Snapdragon 835, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM with expandable storage, 3000 mAh battery, IP-67 water and dust resistance, fingerprint scanner, and HTC Sense 9 based on Android 7.0 Nougat out of box.
The photography is handled by 12MP rear camera with Ultrapixel technology. It supports 4K recording and 360-degree sound recording. The selfie cam includes 16MP shooter with 150 degree wide angel lens.
Probably the biggest headline of U 11 is the pressure sensitive edge sense gestures. User can open camera and snap pictures with only a squeeze on side frame. Other actions include waking up Alexa (In certain markets) or Google Assistant and even works with gloves on or in rains. It’s fully customized and HTC’s selling point for U 11.
The pricing starts from $750 and the available color options include Amazing Silver, Brilliant Black, Ice White, Saphire Blue, and Solar Red.
