Huawei Honor 8 Pro has been launched in India
Huawei launched its Honor 8 in India and OnePlus might have something to be worried about. OnePlus has pretty much enjoyed reigning over the budget flagship tag since more than a couple of years now. With the launch of the OnePlus 5, it blurs the line between being a budget phone and a flagship phone. But with the specs it has, it’s still pretty inexpensive compared to the competition. Speaking about the competition, OnePlus might just have a worthy contender to compete with now.
The Honor 8 Pro is priced at ₹29,999 for the 6GB RAM & 128GB storage which is pleasant to know. The 5.7-inch QHD display phone is powered by the octa-core HiSilicon Kiron 960 which is the top of the line from Huawei. The phone is backed up by a hefty 4,000 main battery which should easily power the phone through a day’s use.
The phone also has a dual camera setup at the back which consists of two 12MP cameras with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus and LED flash. It’s also capable of capturing 4K videos. The front snapper has an 8MP sensor with a wide-angle lens.
What’s great about the already enough storage that it’s expandable up to 128GB via the hybrid dual slot on the 8 Pro. The phone boasts the usual connectivity options, has a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC. The phone will run on EMUI 5.1 based on Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box.
What’s interesting is that the Honor 8 Pro retail box can also be turned into a VR Headset. The phone will be available in Navy Blue & Midnight Black from Amazon. For Prime member, the sale starts from 10th July 6 pm IST whereas non-prime members can grab one from 12 am on July 13.
From what it looks like, the Honor 8 Pro looks to be a solid offering and will definitely give a good fight to the OnePlus 5.
