Huawei Mate 9 leaked, looks strikingly similar to Galaxy S7 Edge
Huawei is all set to unveil Mate 9 smartphone at an event in Munich, Germany on November 3rd. In his true fashion, @evleaks pulls the covers with Mate 9 looks and design.
Huawei is expected to launch two variants of Mate 9 codenamed as Manhatten and Last Island with the latter being more powerful and sporting curve display. Mate 9 with flat display (Manhatten) can witness worldwide availability while the ‘Edge’ one can be limited to home turf China only.
According to the report, the specs on both variants are same except screen resolution with Last Island featuring QHD display (Daydream factor here) and Manhatten powering FHD one. Other details include 64-bit, eight-core HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor, 5.9-inch display, 6GB RAM, 256GB storage, LEICA branded dual lens dual rear camera with 20MP resolution and f/2.0 aperture.
Looking at the Last Island, one can’t help but think if Huawei actually removed Samsung branding from Galaxy S7 Edge and replace it with own name. What do you think about it? Sound off in comments.
