IFA 2016: ASUS Zenwatch 3 with circular display Announced

Today at an event in Berlin, ASUS launched the third generation of its Zenwatch smartwatch. Unlike its predecessor, the Zenwatch 3 sports a round dispay, making its way in a league of Moto 360 and Huawei smartwatches. Let’s dive into specs.

Zenwatch 3 carries 1.39 inch AMOLED display with 400×400 resolution resulting in a respectable 287 PPI. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 coupled with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of on board memory. The watch runs on 341 mAh battery with ASUS’s claim of 2 days of typical usage. The company is making big hurrah about Hypercharge technology which fills up power to 60% in just 15 min of charge.

The Zenwatch 3 runs on Android Wear 2.0 and carries the thickness of just 9.90mm, making it thinner that Moto 360 and Huawei watch. The device will be available starting from $250 with Black, Sliver and Rose Gold color options. The region availabilities are still unknown. Stay tuned for more.
