iPhone X to be Available in India from 3rd November – Starts at ₹89,000

Pre-Orders start from 27th October on Flipkart and Amazon

When the iPhone X was launched on the 12th of September, it was announced that the phone will go on sale on 3rd of November while the pre-orders will begin on the 27th of October. India is one of the select few countries to get the marquee smartphone along with the US and UK. Amazon India and Flipkart recently made the iPhone X pre-order page live.

The Apple iPhone X comes in two storage variants – 64GB and 256GB, which are priced at ₹89,000 and ₹1,02,000 respectively. The e-tailers are expected to announce launch offers, cashbacks and more for the iPhone X closer to the launch in the country. Apart from these two e-tailers, the iPhone X will also be available via Apple authorised distributors across the country.

Apple’s iPhone X, unlike the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, comes with a brand new design, ditching bezels and opting for a glass front and back.

It has a 5.8-inch (2436 x 1125) OLED Super Retina display with 458ppi, highest pixel density in an iPhone. The display supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, Million-to-one contrast ratio and also has 3D touch.

Due to the complete edge to edge display, there is no space for Touch ID. Hence, Apple is introducing a new feature called Face ID, which the company says is the future of how people will unlock their phones.

The front of the iPhone X features an insane amount of front-facing sensors, including a flood illuminator, infrared camera, and dot projector, which all take advantage of a TrueDepth camera system to power Face ID. When you look at the device, Apple says it project 30,000 invisible IR dots, which then fires the camera.

Glance at the phone, and it illuminates your face ready for an infrared camera to identify your face. It even works in the dark. Using the A11 Bionic chip, a neural engine processes the faces in real-time, and has been built specifically for recognizing faces.

The rear camera features a 12-megapixel sensor, with dual-lenses at f1.8 and f2.8 apertures. It comes with dual-image OIS quad-LED TrueTone flash.
