LeMax 3 shows up on TENAA. Dual rear cameras in tow!
LeEco just recently launched in the US with its flagship devices and other products of its ecosystem. Though, things aren’t going all rosy for them at the moment in all their markets thanks to a very big product portfolio, tired design and sub-par software. Can the LeMax 3 change the tide?
Adding to that portfolio, the LeMax 3 has been spotted at TENAA, meaning that the launch should be imminent now. This seems to become the successor of the LeMax 2 with a very similar design with the rose gold metal build, no headphone jack and a big display. Though new for this generation is the camera…. or should we say cameras? According to the renders and the information from the site, this should be having dual 13MP cameras on the back for superior imaging. Other expected specs include a Snapdragon 821, 4GB Ram (We think that a 6GB + 128GB option should also be in the works), 5.7″ QHD display, a battery jst north of 3000mAh and a rear mounted finger print scanner.
It’s no secret that LeEco is having issues, not just on their home ground but in its expansions too. I think one reason for this is their huge product catalogue. Not only has the naming scheme become very difficult to comprehend now, but having so many individual devices means having to produce parts for so many of them (or provide worse service), not being able to push updates to all devices. It doesn’t give a premium feeling to the user, which companies like OnePlus have nailed and grown. This is something even Samsung has been struggling with….
The specs do seem compelling but the software isn’t going to win any awards, and the release would be in very limited countries. Stay tuned for more info on this phone.
