Lenovo K8 Plus launched with dual camera and 4,000 mAh battery for ₹10,999
Lenovo has launched the K8 Plus on Wednesday at an event in New Delhi. The K8 Plus is a successor to the K6 Power which was launched in India last year. It is the cheapest Lenovo phone to have a dual camera system on the back. Also, it has a massive 4,000 mAh of battery and it runs on stock Android.
The K8 Plus has a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and brightness rated at 450 nits. At the heart, there is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 SoC (four cores at 1.69GHz, three cores at 2.3GHz, and one core at 2.6GHz) coupled with 3/4GB of RAM. The battery is a large 4000 mAh but it doesn’t seem to have any fast charging. The company claims that it can survive for almost two days of use or up to 20 hours of video playback on a single charge.
The K8 Plus dual camera setup sports one 13-megapixel Purecel Plus sensor with and a second 5-megapixel depth sensor. Users will also be able to adjust the depth in real-time. On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel camera with a ‘Party Flash’, f/2.0 aperture, and an 84-degree wide-angle lens.
Lenovo’s K series has always been known for delivering powerful performance and cutting edge multimedia experience to consumers at very affordable prices, which is why it has an installed base of more than 8 million users in the country. — Sudhin Mathur, Lenovo MBG India

And yeah, storage of the K8 Plus can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB) with a dedicated slot.

Other features include a fingerprint scanner located on the back, a metal body design, dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) support, and a stock version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. In case you missed it, Lenovo announced last month that it’s ditching its Vibe UI skin and will ship all of its upcoming devices with a pure version of Google’s OS. The company also guarantees that the smartphone will get upgraded to Android Oreo, although it did not mention when exactly will this happen.
The smartphone has been launched at a price of ₹10,999 and is available in two color variants, namely Fine Gold and Venom Black.
