LG enters mid range segment with K7 and K10 launch in India
Announced back at CES 2016, K7 and K10 are LG’s answer for growing competition in low end and mid range segment in India.
This one is more of a budget device. It packs 5″ FWVGA display and is powered by 1.1 GHz Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor. Multitasking is handled by 1.5GB of RAM and total storage is 8GB with Micro-SD expansion. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and will be updated to Marshmallow in near future.
The photography is handled by 5MP camera on front and back. The device comes with dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G connectivity. The battery capacity is 2,125mAh. The device comes in Titan, Gold and White colour options. Gold and White colour options and is priced at ₹ 9,500
The K10 is more of a mid ranger. It comes with a larger 5.3″ HD display and under the hood is 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor. The RAM is bumped at 2GB and storage also get updated to 16GB with Micro-SD slot.
In camera department, the rear one is 13MP with LED flash and the selfie one is same 5MP as we found in smaller brother. The device is powered by 2,300mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1.1. The texture back provides solid grip. The available colour options are White, Indigo and Gold. The K10 is priced at ₹13,500.
Well, compared to their Chinese rivals like Lenovo K4 note, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Le 1s, I feel LG just missed the mark and overpriced the K series here.
