It’s official: Major MacBook refresh coming on October 27
Now that Apple is done with major iPhone launch, it’s time to set our eyes on upcoming hardware event happening in late October. According to reports, Apple is all set to announce major MacBook refresh alongside with new iMac and other accessories on 27th of October.
For the last few years, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air have only received subtle changes, especially in the hardware department. First, let’s talk about MacBook Air. Reports suggest that the tech giant may ditch 11 inch MacBook Air to push the sales of its 12-inch MacBook, that was unveiled a few months ago. Last year, Apple’s 12-inch MacBook didn’t meet sales expectations as consumers opted to go with 11-inch Air model instead. Some hardware improvements are also expected with display department once again ignoring Retina tech.
Everyone’s favorite MacBook Pro will receive the major overhaul. New features may include a touchscreen display, a fingerprint scanner, a dedicated GPU from AMD with Skylake CPUs from Intel, USB Type-C (Sorry, no USB Port 3.0 this time), butterfly keyboard that was first included in 2015 MacBook line-up, and more. Fewww!!
