Microsoft to deliver two major Windows 10 updates in 2017

If you think Microsoft would take some rest after big Windows 10 anniversary update then think again. Announced in recent blog post the company said, “Windows 10, version 1607 is our third Windows 10 feature update released. Based on feedback from organisations moving to Windows 10, this will be our last feature update for 2016, with two additional feature updates expected in 2017.”

Both the updates codenamed as Redstone 2 and Redstone 3 are expected to arrive in early 2107 and summer, respectively. Microsoft is expected to deliver early beta versions of its Redstone 2 update to Windows Insider in coming weeks.

As we know, the Anniversary update was heavily focused around Windows 10 PC experience while the upcoming major two updates are said to be weighting more on Windows 10. The Redmond giant is also rumoured to launch new Windows 10 Mobile hardware (aka Surface phone) to showcase new software capabilities.
