Microsoft Surface Laptop goes official with Windows 10 S OS, price starts at $999
The new rumored device from Microsoft Surface family goes official at an event in New York.
Meet the shiny new Surface Laptop. The device doesn’t have a 2-in-1 approach like Surface Pro nor it contains the detachable mode of Surface Book. It’s a traditional laptop aimed to solve the missing piece of puzzle in Microsoft’s portfolio.
The specs include 13.5-inch PixelSense display, up to Intel i7 7th generation processor, up to 512 SSD option and up to 16 GB of RAM to choose from. The laptop is 14.47mm at its thickest while being 9.9mm at the slimmest side and weights at only 2.76lbs.
The Surface Laptop is the first hardware running newly launched Windows 10 S OS. And the tech giant is promising 14 hours of battery life on single charge. Users can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for free till 31st December and after that be ready to pay $50 for the added functionality.
The available color options include Platinum, Burgundy, Cobalt Blue and Graphite Gold. The base model starts at $999 and will be available to buy from June 15.
