Windows Phone’s elegant keyboard is now available for iOS devices
Microsoft is bringing its excellent Windows Phone keyboard to the iOS users today. The new iOS version will let you tap or swipe to type out words and intelligently predict words for sentences, just like the Lumia variant. The Word Flow app, which was developed by Microsoft’s in-house experimental projects division, Garage.
The app offers the promise of faster texting via a swipe to type input. A little moreover is a one-handed typing mode that displays the keyboard as an arc in order to allow for easier typing via just a thumb. Users can also customize the look and feel of the Word Flow keyboard. The Arc feature is particularly useful if you own the larger iPhone 6S Plus.
As with Apple’s included keyboard, Word Flow has a predictive text feature, and users can even turn on a word learning option that will bolster the app’s predictive capabilities for each user by sending keyboard information to Microsoft. Elsewhere in the app, users will also be able to upload their own pictures as customized keyboard themes, and even track their typing speed once Word Flow is granted full access in Settings.
Anyone who wants to check Word Flow out can download it from the App Store for free, although it is currently limited to United States users only.
