This might be our best look at the upcoming iPhone 8
The upcoming iPhone 8 is the hottest item on the rumor mill. And why not? After sticking with almost identical design language for three years, Apple is expected to revamp iPhone for the 10th anniversary.
The Forbs was able to get their hands-on CAD factory files. And if something doesn’t change by last minute, this is what we are getting for the September Apple event. Now talking about renders, Apple has trimmed the ugly bezels at the front and starched the 5.8-inch display to top and bottom. The display is not curved like Galaxy S8/S8+ but still, this is a welcome departure from its predecessor. The notification area may get moved to bottom function area for better accessibility.
Moving to the rear part, the dual-camera setup is vertical and considering how Apple is heavily focused on AR tech, it might be better to keep the camera on horizontal orientation when holding the phone in landscape mode. And the wireless charging can also make a debut as the back is now made of glass.
As seen in the render, the power button is twice the size. And it might indicate that Apple is planning to integrate fingerprint scanner inside power button. Last, we checked, Apple was still considering move fingerprint scanner under the display but might not get succeed in required time. Besides, the Cupertino giant is already been granted the patent to integrate fingerprint scanner in power button and this is the prime reason why Sony isn’t allowed to sell its Xperia flagships with the same solution in the US. Oh, and by the way, Apple is still courageous and there is no headphone jack this time as well.
As we near towards the official Apple event in September, expect more whispers and rumors about the device as we are still in dark about various aspects of iPhone 8. The specs, battery capacity, any kind of fast charging, or the performance of upcoming A-series chipset is still unknown at this time.
