Morgan Stanley: Google may sell 3 million Pixel devices this year, 5-6 million in 2017
With Galaxy Note 7 skipping 2016 and LG V20 still finding ways to enter more market, Google’s Pixels couldn’t have a better chance to make the debut. The search giant too went on and advertise the Pixels more than ever. In fact, both the Pixels exceeds Google’s expectations and achieve promising activations number on Verizon.
Morgan Stanley estimates Google to move 3 million Pixel devices in 2016 with Pixel XL bringing fat margins for the company. With a starting price of $650 which goes up to $850, the firm expects to $2 billion revenue this year and close to $4 billion in 2017. Meaning, Google could sell almost double Pixels next year.
In India, sales figure already rhythms with this assumption. ETtech reports that Google Pixel is off to an encouraging start in the country with Pixels holding 10% of premium smartphone category.
