Moto G4 and G4 Plus starts getting Android Nougat 7.0 update in India

We have already posted about different OEM’s plans to release the latest sweet Android to their flagship. But, it seems Motorola beat them all. And that in an unusual way. Normally we expect to have latest updates released to flagships first and then to mid-range offerings. Today, Lenovo owned Moto pushed Android Nougat 7.0 to Moto G4 and G4 Plus in India while their flagship Z series is still stuck on Marshmallow.

Thus, Moto G4/Plus became first non-nexus devices to taste latest Android. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as Moto has a history of leaving behind even Google to push out major updates.

Android Nougat 7.0 brings an improved Doze Mode, split-screen multitasking, quick app switching while tapping twice on the multitasking menu, direct reply, bundled notifications and more. You can read more about Nougat’s changes in G4/G4 Plus here.
