Motorola launches Moto Mods Development Kit

Motorola has launched Moto Mods Development kit (MDK). MDK will allow anyone to create their own version of Moto Mods for the Moto Z smartphone.

Earlier, Motorola launched two Moto Mods (loud speaker, short throw projector, and battery pack) along with Moto Z and Moto Z Force smartphone. The Moto Mods kit comes with the same set of tools which were used by the company to develop Moto Mods. The kit includes a Reference Moto Mod with all core computing function, a Perforated Board with 364 solder points and rear housing to carry tour prototype.

Initially the kit was launched in the US and now available in China, Europe, and South America. In Canada, it will available from October 5. Devices in Moto Z lineup such as Moto Z, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force, and Moto Z Play can use these Moto Mods.
