The upcoming $1,199 Google Pixelbook with a $99 Pixelbook Pen

In a fresh batch of leaks by DroidLife, Google’s entire portfolio of products that were going to be released on the 4th October have been leaked for the world to see. Along with the much awaited Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL, Google has three other produccts in store too; Google Home Mini, Google Daydream View & the Google Pixelbook.

The Pixelbook gets additional interactivity with the help of an $99 Pixelbook Pen.

Google ceased production of the its Pixel line of laptops in August last year. But according to rumours floating around last month, a new solid offering was in the pipeline. This is most likely to be the Google Pixelbook and it’s a solid offering at least.

The Pixelbook will be launched in Silver and will come in three storage variants. The 128GB variant  will be priced at $1199, whereas the 256GB and 512GB will set you back by  $1399 and $1749 respectively. For a laptop that’s running Chrome OS on it, the Pixelbook is definitely not cheap. But what sets the Pixelbook apart from other Chromebooks is its design and form functionality. Unlike any model in the previous Pixel lineup, the Pixelbook folds into a tablet as well. Which means the Pixelbook also has a touch screen. To enhance productivity, the Pixelbook will be launched with a proprietary stylus, the Pixelbook Pen. It will be sold seperately as an accessory and will cost $99.

Once launched, the Pixelbook should be available here and the Pixelbook Pen here.

With an entire new slew of devices coming up, it seems that Google is trying really hard to no longer be just a software company. Which also means that we’ll be seeing much more hardware from Google. What do you think about Google’s new upcoming offerings? Let us know in the comments below!
