The Pixelbook gets additional interactivity with the help of an $99 Pixelbook Pen.
Google ceased production of the its Pixel line of laptops in August last year. But according to rumours floating around last month, a new solid offering was in the pipeline. This is most likely to be the Google Pixelbook and it’s a solid offering at least.
The Pixelbook will be launched in Silver and will come in three storage variants. The 128GB variant will be priced at $1199, whereas the 256GB and 512GB will set you back by $1399 and $1749 respectively. For a laptop that’s running Chrome OS on it, the Pixelbook is definitely not cheap. But what sets the Pixelbook apart from other Chromebooks is its design and form functionality. Unlike any model in the previous Pixel lineup, the Pixelbook folds into a tablet as well. Which means the Pixelbook also has a touch screen. To enhance productivity, the Pixelbook will be launched with a proprietary stylus, the Pixelbook Pen. It will be sold seperately as an accessory and will cost $99.
With an entire new slew of devices coming up, it seems that Google is trying really hard to no longer be just a software company. Which also means that we’ll be seeing much more hardware from Google. What do you think about Google’s new upcoming offerings? Let us know in the comments below!
