Nokia 8 with Snapdragon 835 & Dual Rear Cameras launched in India for ₹36999
After launching the affordable Nokia 3, 5 and 6, HMD Global today launched it’s flagship the Nokia 8 in India. It packs a 5.3-inch Quad HD display with sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), which is also upgradable to Android Oreo.
The performance of the handset is driven by a 2.35GHz Snapdragon 835 processor, mated to 4GB of RAM. The on-board storage is pegged at 64GB, and can be further expanded using a microSD card. On the rear you’ll find Carl Zeiss-branded dual-camera setup, the first lens is a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization. The second camera is also 13 megapixels, but is a monochrome camera and lacks the stabilization.
The Nokia 8 is powered by a 3,090 mAh battery which is average among the flagships. The device supports QuickCharge 3.0 Technology we noticed the battery go from 0% to 50% within 35 minutes.
Priced at ₹36,999 ($560), the Nokia 8 is available in four color variants – Polished Blue, Polished Copper, Tempered Blue, and Steel and will be available from October 14th on Amazon.in online as well as select retail stores across India.
