OnePlus 3 to get Android Nougat this month via Beta

OnePlus 3 users have lots to cheer about as the smartphones are now seemingly confirmed to get their first taste of Android Nougat, as early as this month, via a custom community build. Google’s newest firmware would also be seeded officially via OTA during the end of 2016.

According to an Engadget report, that quotes Brian Yoon who is the head of OnePlus’ ROM Product division, OnePlus 3 users are likely to be seeded a beta community firmware build of Android Nougat in November 2016. This should allow OnePlus to evaluate the Android Nougat overall usage perspectives and correct issues, if any, found during testing of the beta community firmware.

Earlier this year, OnePlus announced that it will be merging the teams working on HydrogenOS and OxygenOS to provide faster updates and it seems to be working so far.

Further, OnePlus is also set to launch OnePlus 3T on November 15. The new version of company’s this year flagship is expected to come with Snapdragon 821, better camera, more storage and Android Nougat out of the box.¬†Other companies like LG and Samsung has also started rolling out Android Nougat update for their flagships.
