OnePlus 3 officially coming on 14 June, ditches Invite Sytem

OnePlus directly confirmed all that on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. Carl Pei, OnePlus co-founder, has confirmed that the company will be ditching invite system for its next flagship.

OnePlus had an invite system that required signing up for a reservation or hitting a social media promotion jackpot or receiving an invitation from a friend with a OnePlus. It was an absurd inconvenience for a gadget ostensibly designed to make life easier. It also was the only way to ensure the company stayed afloat, says co-founder Carl Pei.

OnePlus directly confirmed all that on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, and we already know folks lucky enough to have got their hands on the free Loop VR headset will be able to watch the announcement in an immersive virtual environment and order the 3 before anyone else.

Pretty much guaranteed to pack your choice of 4 or 6GB RAM, the OnePlus 3 could somehow start at a lower price point than its already ridiculously cheap predecessor, NFC support included this time around, as well as Snapdragon 820 power, 16 and 8MP cameras, fingerprint recognition, and USB Type-C connectivity.
