The OnePlus 5 will be unveiled on June 20th

After all the rumors, leaks, and rampant speculation, we finally have a launch date for the OnePlus 5. The company has confirmed it’s coming on June 20th at 12:00PM EDT, or exactly two weeks from today. Along with the launch event, OnePlus is also holding community events in several cities across the world on June 20 and June 21 to showcase the OnePlus 5 to its fans.

These cities are: Copenhagen, Turku, Oulu, Tampere, Helsinki, Amesterdam, Berlin, Paris, London and New York.

On the record, OnePlus has acknowledged that the 5 will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC like the Galaxy S8 and many other high-end Android phones of 2017. Another near-certain lock is a dual-camera setup on the back. Dual cameras are necessary for the kind of DSLR-lite photos that are in vogue right now, and they also allow for VR and AR experiences.

There could be just a  bump in pricing, but it also wouldn’t be shocking if OnePlus has to veer closer to the $600 or higher pricing you tend to see for top-tier phones.
