OnePlus X gets updated to OxygenOS 2.2.2

OnePlus X received a nice update starting today, that has a lot of fixes and improvements

The camera UI has been brought to speed with the OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus 3, along with some more tweaks. Here’s the change log:

  • Upgraded camera to version 1.4 UI
  • Improved camera frame rate performance
  • Added trusted face unlock security option
  • Updated Swiftkey to version 6.3.3
  • Updated carrier name mapping
  • Added July security patches
  • Fixed default SIM card selection issue
  • Fixed network operator selection issue
  • Fixed screen rotation issue
  • General improvements and bug fixes

It is now OxygenOS 2.2.2, which means, we are still on lollipop. No words on Marshmallow update, still! It’s really sad to see that OnePlus has been treating the mid-range device. The company has made it clear that it is no longer interested in creating another mid ranger and shall focus on high end only. But this definitely does not mean they can forget such an important device so quickly. The device has been sold in huge numbers in markets like India. Many users have opted to show their dissatisfaction on social media since quite some time.
