Poll: iPhone X vs iPhone 8 Plus vs iPhone 8
Which one would you go for?
Apple unveiled their latest offerings last week and unlike the recent trend of unveiling two new devices, Apple threw in the iPhone X to mark the 10 year anniversary of the first iPhone that launched back in 2007.
iPhone X is special because it is the first Apple device to have a narrow bezel notched OLED Display and Face ID. Going opposite the signature iPhone design, there is no home button, meaning no Touch ID. While this has been a point of disappointment for many, the new design is stunningly attractive.
The front of the iPhone X features an insane amount of front-facing sensors, including a flood illuminator, infrared camera, and dot projector, which all take advantage of a TrueDepth camera system to power Face ID. When you look at the device, Apple says it project 30,000 invisible IR dots, which then fires the camera.
Coming to the iPhone 8 Plus and 8, there’s nothing new or exciting. Many, including us feel it’s an iPhone 7S. The lineup follows the same design ethics from it’s predecessor, has the same camera lens and display. Though it does have a glass panel on the back, equipping the phone with Qi Wireless Charging. There’s a also a new A11 Bionic processor underneath the hood, but at the same time the battery capacity has shrunk too. Though we cannot dismiss the fact that iPhone 8 Plus has better image processing and Portrait Lighting (beta) mode.
Pricing is the key factor that sets these devices apart. The iPhone 8 is starts at $699 for 64GB while the iPhone 8 Plus starts at $799. The iPhone X starts at a whooping $999 for the 64GB model. Keep in mind, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 costs $929 in the USA.
So, coming back to the question, which one would you choose?
