OnePlus teases a new device sporting Snapdragon 821

First, Qualcomm confirmed the upcoming handset would include a Snapdragon 821 chip. Now, OnePlus has chimed in, saying the processor will be clocked at 2.35GHz. Why’s that so important?

If you remember, the Google Pixel also comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chip but keeps it clocked at 2.15GHz. The suggestion here is that the OnePlus’ device should be faster, making its upcoming device one of the most powerful on the market. According to previous reports, the upcoming handset will be dubbed OnePlus 3T, and cost around $80 more than the existing OnePlus 3. One rumor also claimed the device will sport a better camera.

OnePlus hasn’t openly said that it’s going to launch the 3T on November 15, but take a look at its tweet. It is also reported that the device will run Android Nougat out of the box. And rationally, it has to. The latest competitor that the device will face is HTC’s Bolt and LG’s V20.
