Reliance Jio tipped for a commercial launch in October

Jio already had some setbacks to launch its much awaited Jio service in India. But, according to recent rumors, the firm is planning for a grand launch sometime in October this year.

Reliance already made its Jio services available for its employees and also bundled a three months of unlimited data, calls and messages with company’s own LYF smartphones. Just recently, similar offer expanded to Samsung high end smartphones and also rumored to come with Apple and HP devices in near future.

The company already has 2 million Jio users with average user consuming 26 GB of data per month. With total traffic exceeding 39 million GB, Jio already gains a second spot in traffic lagging only behind Airtel. The company is confident of handling 5 GB of data for up to 100 million users.

I am already using Jio 4G on my Galaxy S6 for a week and have to say the wait was worth it. The end user experience is very satisfying with a robust network coverage and continuous high speed data connection.
