RIP: Sony Xperia XZ launched in India for ₹49,990

Sony previously stated that the company is looking forward to focusing only on premium segment in India. Unveiled back at IFA, Xperia XZ stands as another flagship from the Japanese company. In a no-surprise move, the device made its way to India earlier than other markets. Let’s dive into specs.

Xperia XZ offers 5.2 inch full HD IPS display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with the micro-SD expansion slot. The camera department comes with 23MP IMX 2300 sensor with triple sensing autofocus and 13MP selfie shooter.

The battery capacity stands at 2900 mAh with quick charging technology. Other features include IP-68 certification, hybrid dual sim slot, usual connectivity options, USB Type-C, fingerprint scanner mounted power button and Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of box with Nougat 7.0 promised in Q4, 2016.

Xperia XZ is priced at ₹49,990 and will go on sale from October 10 with online exclusive partner Flipkart and Sony outlets.
