Samsung expects to sell 60 million Galaxy S8 units
According to the new report from South Korea, Samsung has asked its partners to ramp up production and supply-chain for the upcoming Galaxy S8 as the firm aims to sell 60 million Galaxy S8 units next year.
Well, the figure sits below Galaxy S3 (65 million) and Galaxy S4 (70 million), but way above than previous two S-series generation.
Let’s assume that Galaxy S7 reaches 50 million mark, so this 10 million increase indicates that Samsung wants to move Galaxy Note 7 fans to Galaxy S8 users. As a result, Galaxy S8 is rumored to bring big screen, some Note 7 software tricks, and S-Pen as an optional accessory.
Galaxy S8 is expected to launch at a dedicated event in New York. The mass production will start in March.
