Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) and Galaxy J5 (2016) launched in India

Samsung today officially announced latest interaction of J series in India. Galaxy J3 (2016) was already launched in March and now it’s time for big brothers to take the centre stage. Both the 2016 edition Galaxy J5 and J7 are already available in China and Japan. But, in India it comes with some region specific features. Both the J5 and J7 include S Bike mode, Ultra Data Saving and Ultra Power Saving mode. Let’s dive into specifications.

Galaxy J5 (2016)

The Galaxy J5 boasts 5.2″ HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED screen. The processing power is handled by a 1.2 GHz quad-core chipset. The device comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded by micro-SD slot. It runs on latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 with TouchWiz UI on the top.

The camera department is handled by 13 MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and laser autofocus while the front shooter is of 5 MP. Both the camera consists LED flash. The battery capacity  is 3,100 mAh. Dual sim support is on board too. The connectivity option covers  all the basics like 4G, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and more.

Galaxy J7 (2016)

The Galaxy J7 is a slight upgrade over J5. It has a larger display of 5.5″ full HD super AMOLED at 1920×1080 resolution. Under the hood is 1.8 GHz octa-core processer. The device consists same 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. The photography is handled by 13 MP back and 5 MP front camera. It boasts slightly larger battery juice at 3,300 mAh.

Galaxy J7 runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with own TouchWiz UI. Connectivity options are the same as J5.

Both the devices will be sold exclusively on Flipkart starting from 10th May. Both will be available in three color options – Gold, White and Black. The Galaxy J5 is priced at ₹ 13,990 and the bigger one J7 costs at ₹ 15,990.
