Samsung unveils first LPDDR4 8GB Ram modules for mobile devices

So you think that the 6 gigs of RAM on recent phones is overkill? Hey there, Samsung has something for you 😁

Constructed on a 10nm process technology, Samsung’s 8GB LPDDR4 package is said to be twice as fast as the DDR4 DRAM modules found in PCs (which typically work at 2,133 Mbps per pin), operating at up to 4,266 Mbps
We all know Samsung is in desperate need of a miracle product to get it back in the flagship face after the Note 7 debacle, and maybe it’s specifications like these that will get people talking about Samsung again

Is it needed on a phone in this day? For almost 7 billion people, the answer is no. But actions like these are to show what Samsung can do, rather than having actual use. Because having so much RAM will also take a toll on the battery, and it needs to be well optimized to take full use of so much memory

Let’s wait and see when these phones actually start showing up, so I can start writing about 16gb ram kits
