Samsung Pay in India clocks 1 Million users in a month

Samsung’s payment service is on roll in India. The company today announced that over 1 million new users have joined the platform in last month. The numbers stood at 1.5 million on 12th September and this would take the total to over 2.5 million. Impressive!

Initially, Samsung Pay was limited to 10 models at launch but soon expanded to the popular J-series smartphones.

The Korean giant already had many banks on-board at launch time. And recently, they have added SBI bank, Paytm and Mobikwik wallet integration as well. The company says they have more banks and partners coming soon.

Samsung Pay is available in 20 markets. And with recent MAU, India comes third on usage behind South Korea and Russia.
