Samsung releases Android Nougat for Galaxy S7/S7 Edge in India, teases ‘Samsung Pay’
A few days back Samsung started rolling out Android Nougat for Galaxy S7 users worldwide. And the next stop seems India as the users are claiming to get the newest sweet Android in the country.
The update weights at 1.3GB and brings improvements to TouchWiz, security with latest January patches, and of course new Nougat features like bundled notifications, quick reply, multi-window, enhancements to Doze mode and much more.
Earlier we reported about possible ‘Samsung Pay’ launch in India. And now the Korean giant is dropping some hints of it. The Nougat update adds ‘Samsung Pay’ option that comes with a tag ‘The future of payments is coming soon.’
The demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes have already encouraged the majority of smartphone users to utilize digital payment system. Samsung Pay perfectly fits in a scenario as the payment service works at both NFC-enabled solutions and existing POS machines. Besides, both Apple Pay and Android Pay are absent in India and that should give Samsung a head start over rivals.
