More than 1.3 Million S8 Units have been sold in South Korea
Samsung announced the Galaxy S8 and S8+ a couple of months back and it seems to be smashing records in it’s home ground. According to a report in The Investor, sales of the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ surpassed the 1.3 million mark in South Korea.
The S8 and its bigger-screen variant S8+ attract about 11,000 to 12,000 new buyers per day, making it the highest selling in the country’s premium handset segment.
The Galaxy S8 sold 1 million phones in 37 days. According to sources, this is almost twice faster than the Samsung Galaxy S7 or the Samsung Galaxy S6.
To keep up the buzz, Samsung is planning to start selling Blue Coral and Pink Gold color options of the Galaxy S8 duo, along with the reborn Galaxy Note 7R phone.
Earlier in May, reports suggested that the company has shipped more than 5 Million units globally and the demand is still high.
Samsung shall also have it’s Note 8 launch in August, which too could contribute massively to the amount of units Samsung ships this year.
