Samsung suffers a blow after the Galaxy Note 7 recall worldwide
As per Samsung, there were total 35 cases of faulty battery problems and that was enough for the Korean company to start the recall. Samsung has already shipped 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 in 10 countries. As per the official statement, Samsung will voluntarily replace each and every Galaxy Note 7 sold to customers and will offer the a complementary gift to those whose pre-order got delayed due to this hustle. The company already lost $7 billion of value due to battery fiasco.
Here is what Samsung’s mobile division president, Koh Dong-jin said in a statement, “I can’t really comment on exactly how much cost will be, but it pains my heart that it will be such a big number”.
With Apple announcing iPhone 7 next week, things couldn’t have come at a worse time for Samsung. So it seems the next time Galaxy Note 7 will sit right next to Apple’s offerings in stores, expect the Korean giant to double down the marketing in Note 7’s second innings.
