Sony Xperia XZs with 960 FPS Slow-Mo Camera launched at ₹49,990
Sony Xperia XZs, which is an upgrade to last year’s Xperia XZ smartphone, has been launched in India. The premium Android smartphone is priced at Rs. 49,990, and it will be available offline as well as on Flipkart. Pre-orders for the Xperia XZs will be open between April 4 and April 10. Those who pre-order the device will also get Sony’s SRS-XB10 wireless Bluetooth speaker worth Rs. 4,990.
The new smartphone from Sony comes bundled with an all-new Motion Eye Camera, which is touted as the World’s First Super Slow Motion that can record slow motion videos at 960 FPS on a smartphone. It comes with the same 5 Axis Image Stabilisation that was use in Xperia XZ, but it has the Motion Eye camera on top of it.
In terms of optics, the Sony Xperia XZs smartphone packs a 19-megapixel Motion Eye camera with a 1/ 2.3-inch Exmor RS memory stacked sensor with Mobile BIONZ sensor, and predictive hybrid autofocus – all of which help to capture 960fps super slow motion videos. Its 13-megapixel front shooter is no slouch either, with a 22mm wide-angle lens, an f/2.0 aperture, and SteadyShot 5-axis stabilisation.
Spec-wise, Sony Xperia XZs features a 5.2-inch Full HD TRILUMINOS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot.
It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with a Sony’s own custom UI skin on top. Similar to the Xperia XZ, it also comes with the ‘Loop’ design and ALKALEIDO metal build. The battery capacity is also the same at 2900mAh and comes with Qnovo Adaptive charging with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the side of the device.
