TCL Launches TCL 560 Smartphone in India with iris scanner at Rs 7999
Chinese Multinational TCL Corporation has debuted in India with its first smartphone priced at Rs 7,999. The device is an Amazon exclusive device and will be available on sale from July 5.
It boasts 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720. The device runs on 32-bit Quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM powered by 2,500mAh. The phone will run on latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. The photography is handled by 8 MP rear camera and the selfie shooter comes with 5 MP resolution. It also supports 4G VoLTE and weighs 156 grams.
Talking about the monopoly of the device, the IRIS scanner, which TCL calls EyeVerify can be used to unlock the device and works well when you are in a well-lit environment. There is also a fingerprint scanner apart from it. It seems like that IRIS scanner will succeed fingerprint scanner as the primary method to authenticate and unlock the device in the near future.
The device comes with two colour options – dark grey and metallic gold. TCL says it has tie-ups with more than 400 service centers across India.
