Will Yu Yureka Black brighten the company’s future?

Yureka, Yuphoria, Yunique, Yunicorn are nothing but euphemisms for nostalgia now. Micromax’s subsidiary Yu Mobiles made quite some noise in the market a couple of years back with its budget offerings. And after a couple of years the Yureka was launched, the company’s back with a new smartphone.

The company has sent out invites for a launch event on 1st June where the will launch a refreshed version of their Yureka, the ‘Yureka Black’. The invite reads ‘Yureka is back with black’ with the picture of the back side of the phone faded into the shade of black. One can expect the phone to be pretty affordable and offer a good bang for buck to users.

This news comes after the company was reportedly going to pull down is shutters after  the company couldn’t devise a proper roadmap for the company’s future operations. Will the Yureka Black revive the moribund company’s fortunes? In a country where Chinese players have a firm foot in the market, it’ll be tough, but only time will tell.
