Xiaomi Q3 sales cross 2 million landmark in India

Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain revealed some interesting numbers for the Chinese company’s performance in the country.

Jain told that Xiaomi shifted 2 million smartphones in India during Q3 2016, registering an impressive 150% growth YoY. Though the company didn’t divide the numbers between models, one can see the Redmi series’ big contribution to this milestone.

Out of 2 million, Xiaomi saw half of the sales happening between 1-18 October. “Mi India has been warmly welcomed by users, which is why we are one of the fastest growing brands in the smartphone industry today – one out of every four smartphones sold online was Xiaomi,” Jain said.

Xiaomi entered the Indian market in July 2014 and this is the highest sales growth company has witnessed till now. Now that Xiaomi is focusing more on offline distribution and collaborating with more online sellers, we could only expect to grow the numbers from the current trend.
