Xiaomi sold half a million smartphones online during 3 day festive season sale

All three e-commerce giant Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal ran huge Diwali sale during last week. Usually, this is the time when consumers opt to buy electronic goods and the mobile category is unsurprisingly hot trend this year. Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi reveals some interesting numbers.

According to the company, it sold half a million smartphones during the festive sale. That include both Redmi 3S Prime and Redmi Note 3. The company reportedly ran out of stock and pushed Foxconn to produce more phones locally.

Xiaomi India head Manu Jain said “We have sold 0.5 million phones in less than 72 hours, in three days on Amazon and Snapdeal -and a day on Flipkart -which means two phones sold each second,” also added info about Xiaomi’s advance planning for Diwali sale and claims to become the first company to achieve this landmark.
