Sony Xperia XR and Xperia X Compact specs leak ahead of IFA
Evan Blass aka @evleaks is back with another leak, and his track record forces us to believe the info is accurate. Most of the leaks released by him usually turn out to be true. IFA is scheduled to take place soon and we are awaiting quite a few announcements from Sony.
This looks like the Xperia XR (F8331) phone leaked earlier this month which confirmed a USB Type C port. If this is one and the same, then the Compact, which is supposedly a mini Xperia phone, will be powerful with the Snapdragon 820 and 4K video recording. Mixed reports are saying this phone will be called either the Xperia ‘XR’ or the ‘XZ’. It has a 5.2 inch screen, 4GB of RAM, a rear 23MP camera with a dual-LED flash, laser-assisted focusing, and a 13MP front facing camera.
Meanwhile, the Xperia X Compact is rumored to feature a 4.6 inch screen and 2700mAh battery, the camera specs have not yet been speculated, but both the Xperia X Compact and the aforementioned Xperia XR will tick a Snapdragon 820 CPU with 4GB of RAM, and if history does repeat itself, we may expect to see Sony put only 3GB of RAM in the Compact model. Both devices will feature USB-C ports.
Sony shall be announcing and making everything crystal clear on 1st of September at IFA. Stay tuned to EOTO for more!
