Another smartphone explodes – This time it’s LYF Water 1

It seems like a season of smartphone explosions. First, it was OnePlus One then Galaxy Note 7  which ultimately resulted into one of the biggest smartphone recall in history and now we have Reliance’s LYF Water 1 device joining this infamous list.

LYF Water 1, which was announced this January went into flames in user’s hand. As per the report, the user was browsing Facebook when the incident occurred. We sometimes complain about Facebook killing battery life but this time, it has killed the battery itself. But jokes aside, companies should give more attention to Quality Control as these types of incidents are dangerous.


As you can see above image, the user got some injuries in his hand. Let’s hope OEMs take more measurements to ensure consumers safety.
