ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 detailed specifications leaked

Hot on the heels of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, we have the Realme U1 and the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 launching in the coming days, all trying to win the budget segment of India. While we don’t have the launch date for the Zenfone Max Pro M2 yet, it seems like we won’t have to wait that long, as we have all the major specifications of the phone leaked, thanks to leakster Ishan Agarwal.

The phone is slated to launch in Indonesia on December 11 and seems to be as great a phone as its predecessor, if not better. The main upgrade here is the inclusion of a Snapdragon 660, a definite upgrade from the SD636 in the M1. That will be paired with either 3,4 or 6GB of RAM. This combination itself is a great deal at this price point, but they have more in store for us. This phone will also house a giant 5,000 mAh battery, and Stock Android will help you get through the day.

The front has a display with a notch, spread across 6.2-Inches. That notch also has a front-facing flash for selfies in low light. The primary camera is a 12-Megapixel f/1.8 lens with EIS and support for 4K video recording. We were not very impressed with the camera performance of the Zenfone Max Pro M1, so we have our fingers crossed for this time. This will also one of the cheapest phones around with a Gorilla Glass 6 on the front, an element only seen on expensive flagships till now.

Overall, the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 is shaping up to be a contender for the best budget smartphone in the Indian market, and is better than the Redmi Note 6 Pro in many segments. We will reserve our judgments for after the launch, and once the Realme U1 is announced. If you are a person looking to get a phone in this segment, we highly recommend waiting till all 3 of these are available, before making a decision.

The Zenfone Max Pro M2 is not the only phone from ASUS launching in the coming days, as the gaming powerhouse, the ROG Phone is also launching later this week!
