Get ready for a redesigned home and navigation buttons in Android N

According to recent report from Androidpolice, Google is yet again redefining the look of home and navigation buttons in new Nexus. It is still unclear if this changes will make its way for new Android N devices or will it be limited to Google Nexus series? Though, the later seems more appropriate.

First, the search giant modified the navigation buttons with the introduction of Android Lollipop 5.0 version back in 2014. The normal navigation panel was replaced with simpler one with triangle, circle and rectangle icons.

As seen in above image, the home button is completely multi-coloured, maybe more to do with Google now on tap. The new home button does animate in some ways when long-pressed, with the various colours expanding in their corresponding directions.

It’s still a rumour and Android N is currently in beta stage, so take this one as a giant pinch salt. But, if things are indeed on a verge to change then what are thoughts about this redesigned navigation buttons? Sound off in comments.
