LEAGOO smartphones are launching in India on 26th April
The Indian smartphone market is getting hotter by the day
LEAGOO has sent out press invites to the media confirming the launch of the brand’s smartphones in India on the 26th of April. The brand will launch its flagship S series and its more affordable M series in India.
LEAGOO is a smartphone company based out of China that initially shot to fame in 2017 for sponsoring the Tottenham Hotspur football club. They’ve gained popularity ever since and are currently selling their phones in more than 30 countries worldwide (including USA, Europe and China).
Phones expected to be launched
The S-Series is their flagship series, its S10 being the last commercially-released phone in the line (Coincidence? Maybe.). The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 6.21-inch AMOLED display with a notch. The phone is powered by the Helio P60 and is accompanied with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The phone has a dual camera setup consisting of a 20-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary one. The front shooter is a 13-megapixel shooter with an aperture of f/2.4. The phone has a beefy 4,050mAh battery that supports fast charging via a USB Type C port. Last we checked, it still ran on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The successors to the S10: LEAGOO S11 and the S12 were showcased at MWC and we might get a glimpse of these phones in India.
The S11 has a waterdrop notch display and has a 6.3-inch 720p display. The phone is powered by the Helio P22 and has 4GB of RAM along with either 64GB or 128GB of storage. It has a 12+2-megapixel camera set up at the back with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The phone has a 3,300mAh battery and runs on Android Pie.
The S12 has a more interesting punch-hole design as we’ve seen on the Honor View 20 and the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. But unlike them, the hole-punch is right in the centre of the display at the top. The display is a 6.4-inch HD+ display and the phone is powered by the Helio P23. It has a 12+2+2-megapixel camera set up at the back and a 5-megapixel camera at the front.
They’ll also be announcing their M Series at the event. But at this point of time, we can only speculate which phones will actually get released in India. Stay tuned to EOTO Tech to know more!
